Lebron James is covered by immortality and greatness.
Los Angeles Lakers had their share of historic moments.
On that one night the stars aligned for both, as Lebron and his son Bronny became the first father-son duo to share the court in an NBA game.
Lebron is chasing down His Airness. Lebron is giving LA some slim hope of equaling the Celtics in a historic chase, which Boston now leads 18:17.
And 39 year-old James, who was predictably in the Lakers’ starting line up for the opening tip off of the season, made his son a part of history. They both substituted into the game versus Minnesota and the history was rewritten.
And those words from Lebron before Bronny entered the court, will forever be remembered.
“Just play carefree though. Don’t worry about mistakes. Just go out and play hard”. Classic Lebron.
Lebron is playing in his league-record-sharing 22nd season. Lebron is not slowing down. Nor will Anthony Davis, who tortured the Wolves with 36 points and 16 boards.
Bronny will see his share of time occasionally. But he will be forever remembered for this moment. Forget those two missed field goals. Forget the lone rebound that Bronny took as a souvenir. He belongs. To a history.
The Lakers took the game 110:103. Lebron was quiet, but the night still belonged to the King.
The chase for the all time greatness with that guy named Michael still is in the air. But for that one night, Lebron had other words to say.
He introduced his son to the league of gold, where Lebron has cemented his status long time ago.
Long live the King.
