During AIPS 88th World Congress (Lausanne, Switzerland), In the battle of the AIPS Europe presidential elections, Marc Ventuillac (France) edged Erodotos Miltiadous (Cyprus) 26:14 and became the new AIPS Europe president. 42 countries were registered. 2 countries withdrew. 

Next up was the election of the Secretary General for AIPS Europe, but before his presidential introduction, Murat Agca (the Turkey) withdrew from the process and thus, Zurab Talakvadze from Georgia automatically was chosen as a new Secretary General of AIPS Europe. In the inaugural voting, he took 40 votes out of 42. Azerbaijan and Hungary did not vote. 

The new field of AIPS was completed when Paul Lennon from Ireland beat Oleksandr Glyvynskyy (Ukraine) 32:10 for the Treasurer of AIPS Europe. 

The field of new Europe Executive committee was filled with Erwin Baku (Albania, 27 points), Jimmy Boejgaard (Denmark, 32), Gasper Bolhar (Slovenia, 34), Gianfranco Coppola (Italy, 33), Christelle Diederich Hirlimann (Luxembourg, 30), Martin Volkmar (Germany, 35), Nyden Todorov (Bulgaria, 22), Michael Schuen (Austria, 36) and Jari Portilla (Finland, 34).
