Bitadze solid against Lakers, Doncic get technical and automatic suspension
Goga Bitadze had one of the better games this season, as he exploded with 9 points, 7 rebounds (5 – offensive) and 5 assists, but the Magic still lost to in form Lakers 104:105. A tough one to swallow.
Goga had some words with the Lakers superstar Luka Doncic, as Slovenian craftsman was called for another technical, his 16th this season, which means he automatically misses the very next game, in which his team travels to Detroit.
As for Bitadze, he played 18 minutes and made all of his three field goals. He was a beast in the paint and a very instrumental on offence in all. But the Magic, who were in font for the most of the game, lost the battle on Lakers’ final possession. After Lebron James was blocked by Paolo Banchero, Lakers still had some 4 seconds left. Lakers (Marcus Smart) inbounded the ball to Luke Kennard and the specialist made his shot with 0.6 seconds remaining.
It was a memorable match for Lebron. He set the league record by playing his 1 612 game in the regular season and broke that record, while surpassing Robert Parrish. That record was held for almost 30 years.
Lakers will face Detroit next, while the Magic ill be tested by the Pacers.
BItadze had his words after the game: I have all the respect for Luka and what he has done. I respect everybody’s family. Where I come from, It is really sacred and we really respect each other’s family. I would never directly say that to Luka.
