Forget the mighty Thor. Forget the green monster that is Hulk. Forget the iconic Iron Man.

San Antonio Spurs has its own Avenger.

The future belongs to Victor Wembanyama.

And, it is do or die for the Spurs as well.

During the Golden Age of Spurs, the team, the organization, the city relied on the quiet assisn. Enter Tim Duncan. Enter his counterparts in Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili. Enter the short stint of the best two way player ever in Kawhi Leonard. Add the Thanos of NBA in Gregg Popovich and the team was always on the rise.

Now, the Spurs rely on this French phenom. Wemby’s time is now.

The team still lacks one or two key piece almost everywhere, but Spurs are embracing Victor’s era big time. We all saw, that the treated his rookie season as an experiment, but that was expected.

Now, enter the new season. With the aging, but still effective floor General Chris Paul among helpers. He will turn 40 at the end of this season, but he still does his job well. His average assists per 36 minuteswere NBA’s best not to count Luka Doncic, Tyresse Haliburton and Nikola Jokic. Paul is delivering the goods and now he has got Wemby as modern day Mailman.

Wemby is still just 20 years of age. He is still learning, but he can punish you from everywhere on the court. Fear the monster, when he becomes consistent with his three pointer. That’s when the real bloodshed starts. Upside in…well, NBA

And you know what? Wemby has the highest upside in…well, NBA history.

He is a defensive nightmare and over the last four weeks of the season, Frenchman averaged 24.1 points, 12.1 boards, 5.5 dimes and 4.4 blocks. What a beast!

The Spurs are young. But they did improve.

And the Euro threat is here to deliver. Fear Wemby.
