Luka Doncic is poised to dominate NBA regular season. Well, at least that’s what NBA general managers think. And rightly so.
Dallas is the reigning Western Conference champion and Luka has some unfinished business to do. Beaten by Celtics in the last finals, Dallas made some moves.
So, a constant topic of discussion, Doncic was chosen as the best point guard in the league, while Shai Gilgous Alexander finished second.
Luka upped the ante as a shooting guard as well. His shot selection is solid, he moves well without a ball and he is one of the best all around players. Ever.
You want the final shot with the game on the line? Pass to Luka. His basketball IQ is otherworldly. And, well, even if Nikola Jokic collects his MVP jackpots like no other in this generation, Luka is the favorite to get his first one this season.
Mavs acquired Klay Thompson. Good choice. He is bound to improve his stats with Luka on the floor, while getting his own share of defensive stops. And, boy, Klay can still be considered as one of the best, elite shooters in the game. Some things just never change.
It will be tough to predict just how well will Dallas do this season. The Western Conference is overloaded with talent and Luka knows this.
Luka had a season to remember. A career high 33.9 point per game. 9.8 dimes and 9.2 rebounds also did well as Luka just felt shy of triple double.
The Mavs returned to the Finals for the first time since Dirk Nowitzki era.
The Mavs are a real deal.
And, so is Doncic.
