Spurs on a rise

These Spurs are doing some unexpected thing as of late. These Spurs are rolling and these Spurs are crushing the opposition.

Well, the one to blame mostly is Victor Wembanyama. The Frenchman became just the fifth player in the history of the league to reach 4 000 points and 600 blocked shots in his first three seasons since those blocks are counted as the official stat from 1973-1974.

Wemby joins the elite, as the ones with the same feat were no others than Shaquille O’Neal, Alonzo Mourning, David Robinson and Hakeem Olajuwon.

San Antonio is getting ready to face the next opponent, Memphis and these Spurs are on a six-game winning streak. They are winners of 22 in their last 24 games.  And Wemby and co. have the opportunity to finish the regular season with 60 wins for the first time since 2016/2017.

They have still some tough battles to face. They face the Warriors on the road, and they follow that fight with road outings versus the Clippers and the Nuggets. Good luck with that.

Wemby is averaging the otherworldly stats 24.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.0 boards and the league-leading 3.0 blocked shots. The beast.
