Kvaradona shines again for PSG
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia had his best outing since coming over from Napoli to PSG. In a showdon versus Lyon and Georgian NT compadre Georges Mikautadze, Kvaradona was at his best. The Georgian international, who was linked with Liverpool, Chelsea before signing an elusive deal with PSG, controlled the game from the starting whistle and did not stop until the end.
The result was encouraging for PSG: 3:2 win and 13 point clearance at the Ligue 1 standings. Lyon was on a solid seven-game unbeaten run, but got unlucky while facing a motivated PSG with Khvicha at his best. And boy, Kvara delivered.
PSG toyed with Brest in the Champions League play offs. This time, the challenge was solid. Still, the team looked motivated and highly inspired from the get go. Just like in the latter outings, Ousmane Dembele was striking gold and he beat Lyon’s offside trap, only to see the strike leared from the line by defender. Still, the start was solid.
The first half ended with no goals and this marked PSG’s first goalless first half in the last 12 games.
PSG was pushing and in the end they were too good for the tough as nails Lyon, where Mikautadze had some deadly dribbles down the stretch. He made great pass to assist on Lyon’s first goal, which cut the deficit to 1:2, but Lyon was unable to even the score. Kvara was fundamental and fed off Dembele on his league leading strike and was substituted in the 68th minute. All in all, Khvicha was the best player for PSG.
Kvara feels immense pride in joining PSG and is really looking forward to wearing his colors with pride and joy. Well, PSG stoke gold with this move and the French side is looking forward to a clash with a mighty Liverpool.
Untill that comes, Kvara (who was taken from Napoli for 70 million euros) and his team will take a rest before the battle with Salah and Co.
Stay tuned.
