Venus Williams and Petra Kvitova return in Indian Wells!

The divine couple of WTA returns in Indian Wells. Venus Williams and Petra Kvitova are set to return at BNP Paribas Open. Both ladies have been awarded a wild card.

Williams is a seven time Grand Slam champion, while Kvitova has won twice Wimbledon. And, they are both returning from the long layoffs.

In case of Petra, it was a maternity leave, while Williams had to heal some wounds after numerous surgeries.

Last July, Petra gave a birth to her first son, Petr. Kvitova last played at 2023 China Open and later, she announced her pregnancy.

Venus will take the court for the first time in nearly a year when she returns on court at the age 44. She lost her both singles matches in 2024 to Nao Hibino and Diana Shnaider, respectively.

Petra is a three time quarterfinalist in Indian Wells, while Venus has reached the semifinals three times.
